its kind of splitting hairs... and i do appreciate even a vestigial rear seat, but i think the smaller proportions of the vantage is better looking

I’d like the Vantage, but I don’t like the weird fender bulge in the rear, it works on most cars but for some reason it doesn’t on the Aston.

The splitters on the DBS ruin it for me.

Meh. The DB9 for me still has that classy British vibe. Even with the latest facelift, which brings it close to the Virage. I mean look at that, it’s pretty as fuck (Virage pictured)

I really like the facelifted DB9, the one that looks close to the (now dead) Virage in terms of looks.
And cue the best ad ever featuring a DB9:

I was just thinking this the other day. I’m on the record not being partial to the DB5 favoritism...

Came for this. Vanquish>DB9. Which is in no way an insult to the DB9.

Agreed completely. I can’t warm up to the new Vanquish. Astons from the DB7 to the end of the DB9 and the Vantages in between all had one great thing about their sexy bodies: Simplicity. They were beautifully restrained, which just added to their amazing looks.
Now, the new Vanquish is just all swoops and lines and creases. That front fascia’s “chin” is too tall and just looks tacky and overwrought, as does the awful “character line” coming out of the fender vent. Then, there’s the overly-round bubble butt that sticks out too far in relation to that (again) tacky wing which looks like something that would have been trendy 10 years ago on a cheaper car. Sure it’s integrated into the fenders, but it just ruins the tail and kills the profile, something the big Astons of the past 20 years perfected. About the only details I can dig are the hood and the greenhouse, and that’s it. Everything else just wreaks of, well, everything else that everyone else is doing.
Sadly, “obnoxiousness” is the name of today's game. It's now all about throwing as much "LOOK AT ME EVERYONE! HEY!!! LOOK AT ME!!!" on to the car as possible.
